;The Vice President – Asset Management has overall responsibility for leading our clients asset management team supporting a portfolio of wind and natural gas projects in North America and for leading technical scopes for M&amp;amp;amp;A and development activities. In Asset Management, the Vice President is responsible for ensuring the continued profitability and commercial optimization of all portfolio projects and will be expected to work closely with the operations teams to achieve desired objectives. The Vice President will also be responsible for integrating newly acquired projects into the portfolio. In Development and M&amp;amp;amp;A, the Vice President is responsible providing technical inputs for the commercial team, providing commercial insights within his/her realm of responsibility and supporting the internal approval process.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
RESPONSIBILITIES:&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Ensure the continued profitability of the portfolio assets. Identify areas where asset value can be optimized and take appropriate actions. Maintain superior relationships with our partners, contractors, suppliers and customers.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Oversee operations and maintenance (O&amp;amp;amp;M) activities at the projects including the management of third party O&amp;amp;amp;M personnel. Create a work environment which emphasizes safety and thrives upon operational excellence.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Manage portfolio regulatory and environmental compliance directly and/or through 3rd party consultants. Maintain compliance procedures and accurate reporting at local, state and federal levels. Conduct internal audits on an as-needed basis.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Actively participate in the due diligence process for the acquisition of projects whether in development, construction or operating stages. Review project contracts, O&amp;amp;amp;M practices, performance history and identify areas of concern and/or optimization opportunities. Categorize and quantify contractual and operational risks. Support development of financial model with input into revenue and operating expense outlook.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Maintain a thorough understanding of markets where projects exist and enhance project value through expansion opportunities, plant betterments, market opportunities, best practices, etc.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Support preparation of project budgets, forecasts, regulatory filings, etc. to ensure portfolio projects are in good standing with lenders, partners, regulators and all other contractual obligations.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Actively participate in negotiation of technical contracts such as EPC and O&amp;amp;amp;M, and to a lesser extent gas supply, energy management and other contracts critical to managing the portfolio.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Mentor staff to ensure overall inclusion and transfer of knowledge.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Education:&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Undergraduate degree in engineering.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
MBA in business related field or demonstrated experience.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Experience:&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;10 plus years’ experience in asset management of power generating assets.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Experience with both fossil and renewable energy assets a plus.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
3-5 years’ experience at the Director or VP level.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />

Thorough understanding of energy markets.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Superior contract negotiation and optimization skills.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Demonstrated supervisory and management skills.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;<br />
Proven ability to optimize asset profitability.&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;&lt;/p&gt;</p>
