<p>Job Title: VP, Development<br />
Location: Boston, Mass<br />
Reports to: EVP, Commercial Development<br />
Summary: The Vice President, Development is responsible for the development of a pipeline of investments to grow the firm. This role will be responsible for representing the Company during investment opportunities while holding overall responsibilities for growing and maintaining an investment pipeline. This role, in partnership with various internal stakeholders, serves as the critical link between business strategy and growth performance.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Develop, support and implement growth strategy in conjunction with other Senior Leaders of the business<br />
Develop and manage the development pipeline of opportunities and provide insight for critical deals<br />
Assess new merger and acquisitions opportunities to enhance the generation asset portfolio<br />
Responsible for the development of strategic plans with other departments, obtaining approval and communicating plans within Commercial team<br />
Establish partnerships and framework agreements with appropriate third party stakeholders, which may include politicians, governmental agencies, and third party advisors<br />
Deliver status reports for executive review as needed</p>
<p>Education:<br />
MBA degree in Business Management, preferred<br />
Additional certifications encouraged</p>
<p>Experience:<br />
15+ years of experience in contract management, negotiating, banking and merger and acquisition project management of generating assets, including knowledge of power markets, grid interface<br />
Experience with anticipating and seizing new business opportunities, closing high-end business deals, and short-circuiting problems along the way<br />

Effective problem solving skills: ability to work from concept to analytics, identify alternatives and develop unique solutions<br />
Ability to read and understand legal contracts for project financial agreements and operational agreements<br />
Familiarity with federal, state and local regulatory agencies that have jurisdiction over power plant operations<br />
Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point</p>
